Our Story
Blooming Emotions, one of Ecuador’s pioneering rose farms, was founded by a passionate entrepreneurial family on the belief that there can never be enough love or kindness in the world. In addition, we believe in the importance of community, and our common goal is to improve the way you send ethically sourced, farm-fresh flowers grown with love to the people you care about.
Our flowers, grown and harvested to the highest standards of quality and environmentally friendly practices, tell our story and mission. They transform experiences, emotions, and relationships. Our primary objective has been to grow and export fresh-cut Ecuadorian roses that not only bring people together, but closer to nature.
We care about people, the environment and the flower-growing process. We believe in farm-direct, cut-to-order flower sourcing, which involves working with farms that hold international certifications for social and environmental responsibility.

Meet our Founder:
Camilla Zard
Coming from a family of floriculturists in Ecuador, Camilla studied social entrepreneurship in the U.S., where she was fond of gifting bouquets to friends but often found herself disappointed by the lack of freshness, lackluster quality, and high cost of the floral options available—not to mention the needlessly complicated ordering process.
She knew there had to be a better way to share the beauty of her home country without losing the farm-cut freshness. Out of this desire to offer American consumers something different, Blooming Emotions was born.
After obtaining her B.A. in Communications and International Affairs at Northeastern University, Camilla went on to enroll in the MPA program at NYU Wagner, specializing in Social Impact, Innovation and Investment. She holds prior experience in environmental resource management and policy through her work with the Cape Town City Government, Environment America in Boston, and Endeavor.

Blooming Emotions operates on a farm-to-vase model: we work exclusively with farms that hold international certifications for social and environmental responsibility, hand-select and cut our blooms to order, and cut out the middleman to ensure our bouquets make it to your doorstep in 5 business days or less. That means less time in refrigerated warehouses and more time for you to enjoy their unique beauty.
